ASCENSION CATHEDRAL
Adaptive corporate website

CLIENT

The history of the Ascension Cathedral began long before its construction. In 1872, the Bishop's Department was transferred to Verny from Tashkent. The center of the Semirechenskaya region becomes a cathedral city. This determines the need for a cathedral building. According to archival documents of those years, the number of parishioners at that time is about 1800 people.
The construction of the Turkestan Cathedral in Pushkin Park was started only in 1904 under the bishop of Turkestan and Tashkent Paisii (Vinogradov). The cathedral was designed by local architects: Konstantin Arkadyevich Borisoglebsky and Sergei Konstantinovich Troparevsky. General supervision of the construction was carried out by the regional engineer Andrei Pavlovich Zenkov.
